Highland & Islands Tours
KinClan MPV Executive Travel Highland & Islands Tours of Scotland can be anything from a two day trip to a ten day long Highland safari, the choice is yours! Two day tours from Glasgow and Edinburgh your tour start location can be wherever you like) could include Stirling, the Cairngorm National Park, Inverness, Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and Glencoe with the opportunity to stay over night in somewhere like Inveraray, Oban, Fort William or Aviemore. A multi-day tour would allow you to explore further afield, to places such as the Isle of Skye, Isle of Mull, Wester Ross, Orkney and the Ardnamurchan peninsula allowing you to visit picturesque small towns like Tobermory, Portree, Plockton and Kirkwall.
The extensive ferry connections throughout the Western and Northern Isles makes island hopping easy. Mull and Skye are two of the most beautiful islands of the Inner Hebrides archipelago, both within a day's drive of Glasgow and Edinburgh. With its recent road bridge, Skye is particularly accessible and it is now possible to arrive on a ferry from Mallaig and leave on the bridge via Kyle of Lochalsh.
Those with more time might enjoy one of our private Scottish tours to the Outer Hebridean islands of Harris and Lewis where Gaelic is the mother tongue. These islands can be incorporated into a circular tour using Uig on Skye and Ullapool on the mainland as entry and exit ports. We recommend at least five days for a tour of this nature. Further North lies Orkney (always referred to in the singular) another archipelago off the Northern tip of Scotland with its rich pre-historic, Viking and World War II history waiting to be explored. For those taking tours from Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Central Belt we recommend at least six days for trips incorporating Orkney and the West Highlands.
Our touring vehicle is the Ford Tourneo Custom minivan, large enough to comfortably accommodate 8 passengers, yet small enough to travel to the more remote Highland locations that the bus tours can't reach. We take pride in showing you the off-the-beaten-track Scotland as well as the must-see, popular sights.
Using our local knowledge we can recommend and book accommodation along the route of your tour. The larger settlements in the Highlands have a wide range of lodging from small, family run bed and breakfasts to four and five star hotels. In the more remote areas of Scotland, your hotel may be the only building for miles around! Perfect if you are looking for the ultimate in peace and tranquility.
Every Highlands and islands tour is different, always designed to your specifications. We take great care to offer a relaxed and flexible approach to touring Scotland where your enjoyment is our priority. Please contact us for a quote or more information.
